Improvements and new Features of the new CDStyler.

• This lables were integrated to the existing list: Burlington USLetter, FolexMemorex USLetter, Pearl universal, Printworks A4, Printworks USLetter.
• Text shadow: You are able to add a colored shadow to the inserted text.
• Textbox position: You can choose out of four different textboxes for more creative text styling.
• CD-Direct Print: Now you are able to print CDs and DVDs directly. I created this function with a Canon printer. If you use a different printer, please tell me >>> your experiences to let me optimize the print adjustments.
• Graphics: You can arrange graphics in different layers for a better collage effect. You will also find a function for scaling graphics and background pictures.
• GUI: The user interface was optimized for a modern screen resolution of 1024 x 720 ppi, and the 2nd CD in a Theme was removed.
• Archiv: Now you are able to create as many Themes as you want; the limitation of max. 75 Themes was removed.
• Printing: Every single print layout was revised for a better print result.

CDStyler & FileMaker. How CDStyler works.

The kernel of CDStyler is based on the database application FileMaker Pro. A database is a collection of informations (data) that you can organize, update, sort, search through, and print as needed. A >>> FileMaker Pro database consist of one or more files and every file contains one or more records. CDStyler consists of these files:

CDStyler stores each new record in the file "Thema". You get in the file "Archiv" an overview about your created records. All files are linked with the CDStyler application, and if required CDStyler will use the contens of these files. These files may not be shifted, renamed, or changed; otherwise nothing will work again, unfortunately! You should also open CDStyler only with a double click on the application icon.

All records of CDStyler are called "Thema". With each new project a new record/new Thema is produced. Each Thema consist of fields, which store and display your data. CDStyler use two different types of fields. These fields are one upon another arranged in several levels:

• Text fields: Input your text for your CD into these fields. You are able to change the text style in the format menu.
• Media fields: Into this fields you can import the pictures for the background or the (side-) graphics.

This is how CDStyler works: You are creating your own background in an external application, for example Photoshop, or you download pictures from the internet, and afterwards you import this image into your current Thema. Of course, you are able to import pictures from your iPhoto library, also. Besides, it is not of interest which picture format you are choosing, because CDStyler accepts almost every file format. Different clipboards enable you to store several pictures. If you do not like to use an own picture, CDStyler offers different patterns and colors for using as background comfortably with a mouse click. There is no possibility to paint or draw directly in the layout . This feature will never be supported, because CDStyler will only help you to organize and to arrange existing material with some few clicks.
