1.3. I did my order and the payment - what about the delivery? |
||
|
||
Within 24 hours share-it! should certify your order with an email including the attachment "serial_number.zip". But as you know, in our digital world it is possible that some emails could be lost. If you will not receive this mail, please write to our support. We will send you the email again with your serial number immedialtely. |
||
|
||
After you have passed through the ordering process you will get an email with the acknowledgement of your order from share-it! and the attachment "serial_number.zip". After you have unstuffed the .zip-archive you will find the folder "CDStyler_SerialNumber". This folder contains two rtf-textdocuments with your serial number, one document in German the other one in English language. You will find the .zip-archive at the end of the mail. |

1.5. Why can not open the text document with the serial number? |
||
|
||
The email attachment is a rtf-document. Open this document with a doubleclick in the icon. If you are not able to open the document, please move the mail attachment on your desktop, start TextEdit and opne the rtf document with File/Open. Sometimes it can be possible the document will be damaged by sending. In this case, please send us an email. We will send you a new email with your serial number immediately. |

Only the CDStyler menu is active (black); all others are grey. CDStyler is a script based database solution, created with Filemaker Pro. That means, it was necessary to grey out commands of the menu bar, in order to start some jobs (f. e. printing) only about the CDStyler menu. This is important for the correct functionality of CDStyler. |
||

||
If you use an older version of CDStyler, fill in your own serial number and click on Import. In the dialog window which appears now, choose "Thema" from your existing CDStyler folder and all your labels are taken over. After this you can put the old CDStyler folder in the trash; but first, check the functionality! |

2.3. Why I get the "Register now!" window every time when CDStyler is starting? |
||
|
||
This window will appear every time, as long as you did not fill in a valid serial number. Please order your own serial number for only 19,00 Euro. You get the serial number from our homepage. |
||
|
||
After you have unziped the .zip-archive, please move the CDStyler folder into your folder "Applications". That is it! In the next step put the program icon in the dock or create an alias on your desktop. After the first start you should choose from the Help menu the CDStyler Help; there you will find everything important about the functions of CDStyler. |
||
2.5. Can I try out CDStyler first, before buying a serial number? |
||
|
||
If you want to test this program first, click on Trial. Please remember the prints will appear with the notice "UNREGISTERED COPY". In addition, you can create three themes maximum in the trial mode. However, with "Register now!" in the menu bar you can register your copy of CDStyler any time. In addition you need a valid serial number. 2.6. Why does not appear the application window on my screen? |
||
|
||
CDStyler was created with Filemaker Pro. That means, the CDStyler program modules should not be shifted, renamed or changed! Otherwise nothing will work any more. In some cases it is possible FileMaker has some problems with damaged system preferences of other (shareware-)applications. A user told me he would have a problem with a program called "FunDock". With this application, CDStyler will cancel the start-up, when you try to start CDStyler from the "FunDock"-dock and not from the original Apple dock. If your window appears black or CDStyler cancels the start-up, please check your system preferences and applications. Dont Panic! This is realy an exceptional case; "FunDock" is the only programm which makes this problem. Should you have simular experiences with other applications, please let me know and send an email to our support. |

This was a problem of older CDStyler versions and it is fixed now. Please download the newest CDStyler version. |
||
3.2. Which picture formats can I import and what size should they have? |
||
|
||
You are able to import every picture format you like, f. e. .jpeg, .pict, .gif, .tiff, etc. and you can use every size. Because of the system performance it is not the best to import a high-scaled .pict-formated picture with 1024 x 768 ppi into CDStyler. It is advisable to scale such pictures in a smaller size. |

||
You are able to change the application language for the CDStyler menu, the buttons, the User Manual, etc. Therefor, please click on "CDStyler 2.2" in the Apple menu and choose "About CDStyler". Now you can select your favorite language in the following window. |

4.2. How can I close the windows (the red button is not active)? |
||
|
||
The red button is grey. This is something very special in FileMaker. If you want to close CDStyler, please use in the Apple menu the "Quit CDStyler"-command or the Quit button in the CDStyler menu. You can not close the "Archiv" window while using the application. With a click on the main window, the "Archiv" window disappears to the background; make a further click on the Archiv button and the "Archiv" window will appear again. |

You can edit inserted Text (size, style, text, color, etc.) in the Format menu as you are accustomed by your office applications: For editing a text, you have to activate the passage first. |
||
|
||
Yes, it is possible to print XXL-lables with CDStyler and you can use XXL- (or Super Size-) label sheets, also. |
||
5.2. Why some parts in the middle of the printed labels are white? |
||
|
||
Do not start the print job in the Apple menu. Please use th Print button of the application window! If you start the print job in the Apple menu, the contens of the desktop will be printed with the white middle rings. Please read the chapter "Printing" in the User Manual. You will find also the manual in the Help menu. |

5.3. Is it possible to print the backside of CD-Covers or booklets? |
||
|
||
If you want to print the frontside and backside of inserts and booklets, you need the CDStyler version 2.1 or higher. Please download the newest CDStyler version. |
||
|
||
CDStyler is using etiquettes which are usually offered in department stores and comupter markets. These etiquettes of the following companies are supported and it does not matter which type you choose, because every manufacturer is using the same cut in his different products.
